Newbie from Down under
I'm new to this forum and finally decided to register on here after months of reading some of the great posts/threads on this site.
The first thread I read was a superb thread on a resto by Kortensi.
This was a huge read, as at that stage it was up to 39 pages.
This thread was like reading a book that you just couldn't put down, it had everything, drama ,facts and even a bit of romance. I read it in a night and I often go back to this thread just to see if Kortensi has given us his next installment.
I have also read many other threads and learnt quite a bit since looking at this forum. To everyone on here I thank you all for your post and look forward to posting a few threads on this site for myself.
Cheers, Dennis.

nice looking/colour car
i have learnt a lot from here as well, lots of helpful people
the time difference is handy... ask a question, go to bed, check in the morning, question answered

have you checked out the local club yet?
c u on the road sometime
Welcome to the Forum. I've been on here for a while and have learned so much from our antipodean friends, as will you, I'm sure. I even bought a car from a Fremont CF member and it's just about ready for rego. A good deal, no complaints.
Tell us a bit about your car, year, engine, previous owner or location, etc. plus what plans you have for it. Is it missing anything that one of us might have lying around?
Are you going to the Corvette Convention over Easter? If so, we'll see you there. Ring me any time if you need to know something. 99% of the time I won't have the answer, but on your 100th call......Bingo! 03-9502-3227.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I thank you all for your warm welcomes and I will try to answer you all here in one post.
riverracer au. I have spoken to a few of the guys who were at the "Corvettes at the Port show" from the SA Corvette club.
They seem to be a great group of people who are very dedicated to their club and have a very good social atmosphere.
I hope to catch up with them in the future.
Aussie79 . Its great to have a forum like this and you are 100% right, there is a wealth of information on here and I am in awe of the amount of knowledge people have about vettes. I'm the same as you and I do my own work as well.
oldsarge LOL and
Its good to have some one to look up to.garage-ghost &ghoastrider1. Thanks for the welcome, one thing I really like about Corvettes is they are fairly unique and you don't see many of them here in Australia until there is a car show ,then they come out of the wood work and are absolute head turners. Ballina is a nice part of the country I have been there a few times over the past years as my Aunty lives near there.
aussiejohn. I wont make it to the Corvette Convention this year but hope to be there next year.I bought the car from a person near Frankston Victoria. He imported it, he claimed from a person in Texas...But when I took the interior apart to clean it, as it had 30years of cigar ash under the ash tray I found some paper work showing it came from Santa Clara California. The papers I found were smog checks from 1998,Registation card for the period of 9/16/97 to 9/16/98 and some reciepts all with the previous owners ( in the states) name and address ,vin and engine numbers. This was one of those priceless little finds.
The car is a early 77 and is a matching number car.It appears to be 98% original with a few interior reproduction parts put in at some stage.
I actually drove the car home to Adelaide SA from Victoria under a permit when I picked the car up last year. Wow what a drive this was and I can thoroughly recomend doing this if the car is up to it

I 'm currently getting it ready to go over the pits and intend for it to be a driver with no mods. Thank you for your kind offer as well .
929nitro' & Roco71 ... Hi and thanks for taking time to welcome me.
Arcticshark... I was in Alaska last year and loved it . I did the inside passage...incredible country
And last but not least...Alan 71, I will try to get some pictures up soon. From all of your post I have read it seems that you are a very knowledgable Gentleman and thanks for your help VIA your input into this forum.

Not one of our best summers. It's been a couple of years, so we're due. I'm glad you had a good time here. If you ever make it back, drop me a line, maybe we could get together for a pint. My wife and I could show you around the southcentral area at least. Anyway, again, Welcome!

from up above,
