Default Medium blue over silver 1974

Is there any way to find out how many medium blue over silver leather 1974 Corvette coupes were built? I've never seen the color combination before. Black Book shows it as an available option. Even if it's not rare, it's a striking color combination. Looks incredible. Thanks for the help! Inca59

What does your Trim Tag show? Does it show two colors for exterior? I was unaware that C3 cars could receive a 2-tone exterior color scheme until '78.

HI and thanks for your replay. It's not a two tone car. Solid blue with a silver interior. I've never seen another blue 74 with the silver interior. The blue's common, but how uncommon is the blue with a silver interior? Just wanted to find out if there is any way to know how many were built in the color combination.

I think he means a Medium Blue exterior with a silver interior as he mentioned silver leather.

I don't think there are any statistics for 1974. In 1975 there were 2869 bright blue cars. I would think that the percentage with a silver interior would be small. If only 10% were silver that would be 290 cars. Just purely my WAG, there were probably fewer than that.

No. You may find figures for paint quantity and possibly silver leather quantity, but there won't be any documentation for the combination of the two.

Silver and blue; I'd bet she's a pretty little thing.

There are no production #'s for 74. I've looked for a long time. Mine is Corvette Gray Met.(one year color option) and silver leather interior.I know my combo is pretty rare also, but thats all I know.
Your combo sounds great.

I'd love to see a few pics. Are you talking about your Vette, or just curious as to how many and if anyone has one?
Back in 75, my friends older brother had a new 75 L-82 Burgendy, silver int convertible with a white top.

Here's a few 74's listed for sale. Blue/silver int. Looks nice.

Misunderstood your first post. But, from the sites listed above, that really is a 'classy' color combination. Especially nice as a convertible with white top!

I've seen a medium blue over silver leather car and it is spectacular. I owned a white over silver car and just loved that interior color.

Mine's a medium blue car that's repainted silver, does that count?

Default Thanks!

Thanks guys. I used the same basic math and figured about one of 280 built (but a guess), based on the Black Book production of deluxe silver leather interiors. And you're all right. Spectacular color combination ... never seen one like it before. Mine's a coupe. Pretty car. Thanks again.

I keep coming back to this thread to look at that black and blue 69. Looks so nice.

I have that combo !!! Someone painted /dyed my 976 and 411 69 vette all black . I wonder if its possible to remove black dye well enough to go back to its original bright blue colour ?
