Default Vader Vette

If its the orig paint "Bright Yellow"
two #s in 77
1)#52 (71 were Made)

2)#56 and it had (1942) painted that color (Yours my guess)

It doesn't appear to have enough green tint for the 1 of 1 code 41 Corvette Chartreuse nor does it have the black interior. Too bad as it would be the find of the century.

Looks the same as my current 76. OEM #56. Same code back to 1974. If you google this, you can get the PPG code and other paint makers.

My wife is still not talking to me over this. She told me I could not have it. (let her try the car goes or she does shi# one more time)

I got it home and supprisingly it runs just excellent. But, my god, the color, what where people thinking in 1977. Its like a cross between pastel yellow and maybe easter egg yellow. I'd like to keep it but the car is so original right down to the exhaust (sounds like a toyota). Should I paint it, or sell it with some cash and buy what I am looking for? Decisions, good thing its Friday and you can buy beer on Fridays to make decisions like this easier.

If that is original color for the car, the '77 yellow was called "Corvette Yellow"....very inventive.

Its the same color in the jams, and they have not been painted. The stickers are still there and painted over or taped. Where is the paint code tag?

wow, right, there really only was one painted chartreuse(bright lime green/yellow) ever(only in 77, just that one time) ...but it almost does look like alittle that in the lighting ...but yes you can also see in the photo the interior isn't black

http://www.web-cars.com/corvette/opt...ptionyear=1977
41 Corvette Chartreuse 1 (0.00%) Black
52 Corvette Yellow 71 (0.14%) Black / Brown
56 Corvette Bright Yellow 1,942 (3.95%) Black / Brown
anyone know the story for that chartreuse vette?

Mine is not this color. This is a much nicer color than mine. My car looks like someone threw up in the yellow paint can before painting the car. It has a greenish tint to it, not like a lime green but a puke and yellow color.

open the drivers side door and look at the body door-hinge area for the trim tag...this one should say "66" for orange

look and see what color its supposed to be http://corvettec3.ca/colors.htm

if it says "41" start freaking out...as thats the big money color with only one Corvette ever painted that, the 74 VW super beetle convertible I had that was chartreuse faded and wasn't as sharp of green anymore, any chance that your interior was once black and someone swapped it out?...even if its "52" thats pretty rare, as only 71 cars were pained that color(in 1977...the #52 color was used more in the following years )
