tail light trouble

tail light trouble
everytime i turn the lights on the taillight fuse blows. all other rear lights work. I hard wired lights to battery and they work. can someone tell me or give a solution? 81 vette.

You have an electrical short to ground in the lighting circuit, could be as simple as a bad light bulb with the filiment grounding.
You'll need to inspect the lighting wiring checking for broken/missing insulation, pay attenion to the light sockets.
Take your time and you'll find it.

Ok...I gotta ask the experts about my tail light problem...
Car is a 1972...the tail lights work fine the brake lights work fine...on BOTH sides of the car as do the turn signals...
BUT sometimes the left side is much dimmer then the right side and on other nights the the right side is dimmer...??? noticeably dimmer its been this way for (I'm guessing) the last 5-6 years and I can not figure it out...
Don;t like to hijack the thread BUT I had to ask...

BTW: I believe that fuse also supplies power to the side marker & parking lights and the underhood light.
