I have 2 1974 Corvettes. The first I bought has no motor and because I discovered it needed more than just dropping a motor in, it has sat for 2 years. So I bought a secondone thinking I was getting a deal. A lot of work went into it, but It has some serious body alignment issues. But I digress.
The first car had no air-conditioning. It has an open set of vents in the rear deck and says Astro Ventilation on the windows. The second car has non-working air-conditioning and the rear vents have fiberglass covers glued on underneath. Now this makes sense to me. I would guess then that all air-conditioned cars were blocked off.
Both cars say Astro Ventilation on the window. If the vent is blocked off would an air-conditioned car have had the Astro Ventilation label as well?
Are they coupes or convertibles? On the coupe with a/c, the vents are blocked off as they are located above the interior storage compartment. On verts with a/c, they are open as they are located further to the rear and are behind the storage compartment (you can look through them and see the ground).
They are both coupes. Thanks for the info. I am trying to learn a little at a time here. Both cars have a lot of issues. Neither has an original drivetrain. I hope to build a mildly modified car one day. If all was equal would you start with the 4-speed A/C car (Green) or the automatic non-a/c car (White). The 4-speed non-ac car is the most complete currently but I fear has some serious body alignment issues.
