1969 4-speed Lemans Blue Coupe.
L46 NOM Motor (everything is correct, except the block)
411 bright blue vinyl interior
Power Windows
AC
Paint is 3 years old. I would call it a "good" paint job - a bubble is on the front left fender and a good scratch in the t-top.
No info on what the block is (replacement or actual specs).
Essentially a NOM motor in a '69 coupe with a $5000 paint job. Frame is in very solid condition. 1 owner car (no documentation) thats essentially all original, minus the block. Interior is gently worn (minor cracks in door panels, dash is good, seats are pleasantly good).
Hi,
I kinda think the car might be worth more in the 15k + range too.
It would be good to know what the engine is now, and what it might take to get back to the 350 hp specs.
From what I read the 350/350, 4-speed, a/c, combination, is real find to many people looking for a warm weather driver.
Just seeing the AIR equipment still there makes me hopeful that the rest of the car is all there too.
Regards,
Alan
Thanks Alan. This is more along the lines of what I was thinking as well. I was surprised to see the AIR still there, which gives me alot o hope about the originality of the rest of the car. I will request as much info on the "new" block and how it was rebuilt.
Chrome is all excellent, most likely new.
Any other details I should be requesting before an inspection?

I've heard of a few coupes with NOMs which sold in the 15K to 17K range within the last year.
I think some of the "what's it worth" threads are marginally useful at best. You'll often get speculation based on whatever the responder has been watching, what ever interests them, mixed with a heavy dose of personal opinion. Some are very predictable. You get what you ask for, people's opinions. Much like real estate I'd suggest doing your homework, look for comparable sales in the last year or two and draw some conclusions from this data.

Reason: typos
Agreed. This is not my sole source of info, but what it's worth always boils down to what someone is willing to pay for it. I know what I'm willing to pay for it. But, I also think I shouldn't pay 2k more than the next guy just because I'm willing to.

I like the wheels but they are not original to the car.
No they are not as I would replace them with P02 covers. I don't have any concerns about these minor discrepancies, which pale in comparison to the NOM.
My cousin just bought one last summer in Mich. It didnt have original colour but had #s matching motor, new gas tank, brakes, engine was rebuilt. It is an auto car. I think he paid 16k for it. Frame is in spectacular condition.

Either I am blind or those wheels are most likely Fake knock offs or they could be real knock offs but reproduction ones...in which case they both would sell for a little over $2000 per set today from a Major Vendor...
17 thousand???? From the looks (and that is no way to price a car) of the car IF IT WERE MINE I would NOT sell for less then 20K unless it had a straight 6 cylinder under the hood...
No one has said anything, so I'm going to assume I'm crazy, but does this fender not look flared like a '70? It'd be hard to believe someone would put this slight flare on a '69 front end, but does this look right to you guys?
All the "little" things add up. You must consider the cost of steelies (date coded 1969???) and a set of PO2s, plus any other odds and ends you see as you look. Each item which is not as you see the finished product adds cost and time to your project and must be considered while you search for the car's value to you as a buyer.

All good points. I'm looking for the most driver-ready car. I'm willing to spend some time and cash to freshen up that engine bay. I do actually have a set of steel wheels and P02s already.
Barring a massive mechanical flaw (told by the owner that it runs extremely well) this car is what I am looking for.
