That is not a wide body. Just a Vette with big flares. That video has been here many times. Nice car but not a wide body

This is a widebody. Greenwood made this kit for Corvettes.

Those are just wide flares and most of the parts supply houses carry flares.

Woooo...easy there. This is what most people "here" consider a wide body. http://www.illustratedcorvetteseries...Cafe-Racer.jpg

As far as the "flares" go. There are a few venders making them. ACI as well as Custom Image and 2nd Generation Auto Restoration all of whom are members here. The ACI need "fitting" if you want them to follow the diameter of the tire. Everybody installs them a little different. It's the transition off the 1/4 panel and the tire fit that makes the car look very wide. Besides that wheel backspace has a lot to do with the look. If you look at that vidio close you'll notice that the wheels on that car are not "tucked in" at all. They have deep dishes and a shallow backspace. All that contributes to the overall look. Look at the "vinatge race car thread" and you'll see lots of different looks on the "flared" fendered cars. It all depends on the wheels and tires and how the flares are mounted to the body. I hope this helps.

most/all C3 wide-bodies that I've seen are pretty hideous looking(IMO)

...except for this carbon fiber wide-body

(first shown to me by another Corvette Forum member)

photoshop of one I'd like to do

(windshield is also angled back to 'chop-the-top'...but in that the main body and front grill aren't widened, just the fender tops+sides and rear of the doors)

but yeah, a "wide-body" modified car is something very different than a car with 'flares' added to the fenders

T-Rush that looks like a super wide body C4 in the back ground

Gotta agree with the others, that bad boy is a C3 with fender flairs added

Those are L88 flares, most vendors who sell corvette fiberglass have them.

yeah, doesn't matter how far you flare the fender lips

..you have to widen the whole fender before it becomes a wide-body

here is a image of them I quickly pieced together off the video

they seem really familiar to me, so I thought I try to look them up for you, but didn't find those exact ones(with headrest and square badge just like that) ...tho I don't think they are "Recaro" seats, they are very much like the E21 Recaro used in the BMW 2002 ...maybe?

Thanks T Rush, they kind of look like the Fiero seats too, but not quite. I'm not sure what they are, but I like the way the look in the car and they look really comfortable too...
