The installation is as Mike's post indicates.
I'm unclear about when the transition from the 'spring clip' to the 'push button' took place.
I believe there's a slight difference in the tray itself too, in the hinge area, from the 70,71 tray to 72 tray.

Yes I do believe your right! 68 and 69 are different push button started in 1970 & I do have the same brackets as 1Sweet66 has... I sure would like to put it back but at what cost!
