Default windshield wipers

It seems that my driverside wiper while on goes outside the window frame. I thought maybe it had to do with the blade itself so I installed new blades. This morning It was raining so I put on my wipers and the driverside still goes past the window frame. Is there an arm adjustment that I can do ?

The wiper arm is attached via a splined stud. Assuming the arm is not bent, try reinstalling the arm a tooth (spline) or two clockwise (looking from the driver's side, or CCW from outside looking in) and test it.

On my 74 the splined stud also has a key, so the arm only goes on one way?
Don't you adjust their position at the motor by losening the two nuts and move the mechanism arm itself? Maybe that's why my AIM says 'arms can be bend to achieve the required clearances' lol

That's what I thought--mine on the drivers side bumps the reveal mold when wet not dry and I have moved everything I can and it still does it. I figured I would have to bend the arm to stop it. Hits just enough to click as it works and hits.

Ya its downright annoying, plus a couple times in the past it actually got stuck and I had to roll down the window and unstick it. I will look at the studs somebody mentioned, then possibly bend the arm to fix the prob.

Default Wiper arm Adjustment

Try loosening the two bolts at the center where the two arms connect. (Two bolts per arm) The brackets are designed with slots for the adjustment your looking for.

Default Wiper Arms

I meant nuts, not bolts.

Today I did some work on the vette. I loosend up the two nuts on the arm attachment and readjusted the arm. It did correct the problem. Thank you for the info. I also replaced the front sway bar bushings, adjusted the door handle. Waiting for some more parts to come in, gots lots more to do.
