I have had a little experience with selling something overseas and the scams are the same worldwide. When I was going to make a transaction like this, I called my bank for ideas. They said to open a new account and have the money wired there. The bank will verify funds and once that happens you can transfer the money to you other account. Then you can agree to send the title and car to wherever. You should call you bank to verify their policies though. Good luck!
This is a good idea but you have to be sure that the bank's policies will isolate the account. We've dealt with two banks. One has an absolute wall between accounts, the other allows you to access all accounts with one access, despite our efforts to ensure such access is not permitted. But if your bank will ensure isolation, put a hundred dollars in the account, if it's legit, the overseas money will show up. Then transfer it out BEFORE you send the paperwork and car. That last part is an absolute must.
As someone who has just bought a car from the States ( I am in Dubai ) I can tell you that the seller holds all the cards. As long as it is made by wire transfer, and the car is not released until the funds are verified, the buyer has the most to lose. I sent the funds and then had to believe the car even existed, and that the seller would honor his part of the bargain to ship the car!!!! Eventually it arrived and he was very trustworthy... but it was me who was taking all the risks. ... Be cautious... but dont think everyone is a scammer...
I'd tell the buyer, send me bitcoin. its irreversible. checks bounce, credit cards are denied, cashiers checks are worthless due to the ease of forgery and the bank can always take your money.
read up on bitcoin. create an account, send them the address to send the money too. they cant come back and say I didnt mean to send that, once its done its done. only you can send it back. then deposit it into a bank account.
Use Wire Transfer. Buyer takes all the risk. Don't release your car till you have clear funds. I've bought many cars from forum members this way.
"The stolen bitcoins are owned by the users of his website, who had trusted their bitcoins to him."
only an idiot would do this. keep you own wallet, encrypt it and this wont happen...
this is the equivalent of keeping a lot of money in a Paypal account. only an idiot would do that. They have complete control of you money and WILL lock it down for any reason they deem fit.
Like I said do some research. bitcoin is the safest/easiest transfer there is currently. I concede that wire transfer may be just as secure but I've never done it however it is no where near as convenient.
"He and his users know the chances of getting their bitcoins back are extremely unlikely because bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed."
