Beautiful indeed Out of curiosity, what does a paint job like that cost in Belgium?

Well, this paint is rather expensive. (€ 80 for base coat, same for the tinted clear coat) The shop did some 3 layers of glossy primer to detect any minor imperfections and block sand them out. Then the base coat 3 shots, then the tinted top coat 4 layers (1K) and finally 2 layers of clear coat (2 K)

However, i got all the parts done inside and out and buffed for € 3500,00. All in all for the quality and the type of paint I got, this was a bargain. But the painter is a good friend of mine ...I did a favor for him in the past.

A lot of the prime work was done at my home, but the final touch to the primework was done in the shop. They did some 150 hours on the thing. Then again I had some problems with the 3M 8115 glue showing ghost lines in the paint, that had to be corrected.

It's perfectly straight and the paint has a deep shine to it. Sunlight gives it a different shade depending on the angle you look at it and it highlights the curves as you can see in some of the photo's.

As for the driveway, that's portugese granite (small cobblestones) combined with old dutch baked pavement bricks. Nice, but it needs a lot of care to keep the weed out between the stones.

The 3,500 Euros is about $5,050US. Sounds very reasonable!

Nice colour. It really pops on the shark body. I never cared for it on the C6. My C6 is LeMans blue. It's a good thing you were able to get the colour as Chevy has dropped it on the C6 due to the inability to get the metallic compound from Japan.

Can't wait to see it all back together.

Most paint manufacturers only have it in pearl effect color. Only PPG had it with the special additive in it.
