1980 dash clips question

1980 dash clips question
I'm getting ready to put my dash in after 4 years and noticed that there are three "tabs" on the car that the clips under the dash snap into. I only have two clips under my dash, but there is a hole for a third. I'm pretty sure I didn't just take one clip off, so my question is how many clips should it have two or three?

However, I have also had mine apart for some time - there might be a piece of HVAC duct work that uses the center brace.
Sorry, not the best help.
edit. Check to see if the heater-defroster air outlet duct (center of dash) doesn't use that center brace.
