I bought a '76 Stingray today. I'm 43 and it's the first car I've ever bought on my own. Congratulate me! My husband, the former Vette Helper - says y'all be rip me a new one. Please be nice

Well worth the wait. From now on, every other car you buy will only be a grocery getter. I can only imagine what your second car purchase might be.

Default I'm thehusband

We bought this Vette from our good friend. We've been working on it on and off for a few years. My wife's been lusting after it for a long time and so we took ownership of it when the time was right. It runs great but needs some cosmetics and a tranny rebuild. The previous owner or whoever had the wrong filter in it and I think it was starved for fluid - fortunately it's not that big of a deal.

Wish us luck, I don't think we've got too many issues. The frame is great, engine's strong, we've done some body work and need to finish the paint. A lot of it will be in the little details.

We've got pictures but I have to locate them so I can post them.
