Default Headlight Actuator -Rusty Post issue

Quick question. I am replacing a headlight actuator, and cannot seem to remove the nut (with the hole) that screws onto the actuator post, and connects to the headlight assembly. It has rusted on, and it wont screw off. I have tried penetrating fluid, and as mich strength as I can muster, but no good.

It is hard to gain leverage on the post to torque the nut, as it just spins. I have tied vice grips and a vice, still wont budge.

Any tips, or where can I buy this part?? Help

Hi m,
Since you're replacing the actuator... have you tried heating the clevis with a torch?
That'll probably do it!
Regards,
Alan

I had to do that for one of mine.

Yes, the Clevis. I didnt know the name for it. I will try the torch. How did you gain leverage on the actuator so it doesnt spin while trying to screw it off?

If I recall correctly, pull the protective boot back and you'll find a flat where you can grab the rod with a wrench.
