Default Does anyone know what these are??/



Disassembled this gauge panel



And they fell out. Have no idea where the were & don't see any marks that would give me a clue. About 1/8" in diameter & an inch long.

Are they soft like rubber? I think they cushion the lens to the bezel? mike...

These are small strips of rubber (about 1" long) that fit into slots on the backside of the instrument cluster between the cluster and lens. They just lay in the slots without any adhesive, so the instrument cluster must lay face down as you put them in place then lay the lens down and finally the instruments, followed by the screws that hold it all together.

Lens cushions. Those look like they're in pretty good shape. They turn to black goo with age.

What's the story on the bezel? Has it been under water?

Probably buried in S Carolina mud Came with the car in a box of parts. That one is from a 72 I think. Just need the lens out of that one

Plan to use this one



Or convert to Auto Meter C2 gauges, haven't quite decided yet
