Ok normally when I want something to stay rust free on the undercarriage, I wax it, paint it, or I wipe a bit of penetrating oil from a rag onto the part.. This is not gonna happen with a brake rotor..
Painting it with a caliper paint is one option, but I fear any overspray that interferes with the pads will lead to fail. These are new stock type rotors and they shine so sexy..I would just hate to see them rust up.

Mask off the contact surface on both sides. You can then paint the hats and the vents. If you miss on the masking, you can use thinner to remove the paint from the contact surface. I've used black high temp bbq grille paint on my old C5 and on my 82. My 06 has some grey coloured coating from the factory and only rusts on the contact areas after I wash it.
I guess if you don't drive it. They won't rust. Just don't have a clue I don't think there is anything you can use on rotors.
Its in the garage mostly but flash -rust is almost immediate after a good wash.

Contact areas I am not concerned with.. a ride around the block cleans them right up. I think I WILL paint them with the caliper paint and remove the excess. After all the effort to make the suspension components appear sexy, it's a shame to have a rusty old thing staring you in the face when you look under there. Thanks for the advice.

i painted mine and didn't mask, nor spray directly on the contact surface, so there was just overspray,
and 1 trip around the block took off the overspray and gave it a nice paint edge too.
