I liked the 69 too...here's one I bid on and lost by $6,000 before I bought what I have now. Probably the best is the 73 I think with the rubber nose and the chrome back end with its "upswept" look.

Old post however I thought I would show some pictures to help anyone else searching to decide. I am thinking of installing one and leaning toward yes. First picture is my car without.
Seems like an age-old discussion . . . love 'em or hate 'em.
I kinda like them. To me, they really don't detract from the design of the car. A period correct accessory that was a wildly popular option for C3 owners.
Now slap that avocado green & orange American Tourister overnight bag on that rack, and take your best girl motoring for the weekend.

I wonder if the Route 66 TV show had something to do with it. Check out what they had on their rack....
Resale needs to be considered, a rack can always be installed but taking one off is a very difficult and costly endeavor. I, personally would never buy one with a rack. Mark
Another NO vote on the rack. As mentioned above, if I wanted one, I`d have looked for a car with one already, but I can`t bring myself to add one to a car that doesn`t. I just like the cleaner look...
