Default Quadrajet 17058504

Can anyone tell me if this quadrajet is the 800 cfm version with the larger primaries or is it a 750 cfm version? I dont' have the carb in front of me to look for the hump in the venturi area.

Thanks

I believe 17058504 was used on 1978 California, 175hp, 350cc w/Air Conditioning and Automatic Transmissions. source is 53-82 parts book (Dec 1983) page 3-1 C (V37)

edit: Also listed in Corvette Black Book for 1978.

Soon as I saw the number...knew it was a 78 Qjet. And mapman is right on with its application.

What that means is that is was very restrictive to meet 1978 emission requirements. 1971 did not have the emission requirements set for 1978 so the jetting would be off.

What are you going to use it on [that needs 800 instead of 750 cfm]? You can re-jet/rod any Q-jet with the proper parts.
