Time to slap this thing together! I'm going to forgo blasting/powder coating the suspension parts as that would take weeks and my goal is to get this thing driving by July.
I can take the suspension off easy enough next winter and do it right then. Right now it's just paint from when i didn't have the ability to powdercoat.
I get about 1 day a week to work on it for the next month or so with work being very busy.
I couldn't have gotten this far without you guys so don't give up on me yet! Thanks
Driving by July! You have my support! I just had a leaking water pump and I am wondering if I can get back on the road by July. Good luck with it and have fun. mike...
My dusty border town (62 citiznes) is having their Centential celebration July 4th. All I have to do is an engine swap, brakes, exhaust, and try to put a shine on the worst paint job evar on the 70. The 95 and 98 are parade ready.
One day a week?????? they better be at least a 24 hour day, my friend. Hope you get her done, keep us posted, looks like you are going to be very busy, till July.
I admire your ambition. It's tuff enough to rebuild these cars once not to mention twice. Talk about labor of love.
Good luck meeting your July goal.
It's just a rough estimate... It really depends on how long this years planting season drags on. I work for Pioneer Hybrids so we're planting corn/soybeans.
I'll leave my interior bare and my sound system for another winter project so that'll save me time.
I need to fix up my gas tank, clean the engine, fix a few wires, might have to do some fiberglass repair on the body mount area...
so it isn't going to be easy and if I don't make it i'm not going to force it. I don't want to burn myself out on this thing....but being able to drive it again this year would be a huge plus.
