I have a pair of sidepipes and covers for a C3. Came off a 73 I bought in 1981. They look like GM sidepipes and covers.
I have wondered if these are GM sidepipes or reproductions. Did they make reproductions that long ago? Are there any markings which would identify them as GM?
The chrome has peeled and pot metal is pitted on one extension piece. Can they be repaired and replated economically? The mufflers are being tossed, rusted out. Wondering if the covers have much value.

yes the covers have value if useable,
in fact i would be interested in purchasing, depending upon condition.
send some pictures if you can.
I think only orginals were avalaible around 1980 ?
other than Hookers.
Yes, that's right. But they fit most C3s. They came on a 73 I once owned. The PO had removed the sidepipe mufflers and installed a stock system. I took the covers off and put rocker trim back on as stock.
