i just bought a 1970 vert. it is corvette bronze with beige interior and white top. looking for number of cars painted that color and can't seem to find out. it's the first vette i ever saw that color.
I don't believe there any records on how many cars were painted a certain color in 1970. I can say Black was the only interior color offered with a Bronze exterior so a previous owner probably changed it or you might have a rare copo car. Check your trim plate, I bet the interior trim code is 400 (black vinyl) or 403 (black leather).
my corvette black book states that you could get beige interior but it had to be ordered. my car also has the white top too which my be rare with the corvette bronze paint.
Black book says about 6.7% were Corvette Bronze based on 957 cars compiled in the 1970 corvette registry.
17,316 total production, 6,648 convertibles.
418 would be the interior code for saddle.

Similar to every other year C3, no stats exist as to how many were built with combinations of options. Just make up a number like everybody else does. Mine is less than one of one.
I also have a '70 Corvette Bronze convertible. My interior color is black vinyl. If you go to the '70 Corvette Registry, you can sort the registered cars by color. You'll find saddle (beige) interior was a popular color.
Let's just say that IF your trim plate calls out the Bronze exterior paint and the saddle interior color, you have one of the rarest combinations available in 1970. You should keep the original colors in order to maintain its value. I don't know how many folks would pay a premium for that specific combination, but you will likely be the only C3 with that color combination at about any car show you attend.
Yes it might be rare- maybe not desirable. The factory recommended colour combinations were just that- recommendations. Exceptions to them were very easy to override by just ticking a box or making a phone call to the district office. Not a 'COPO' car by any stretch of the imagination.
