Default Help with A/C Box part

Hi looking for some help with a particular bracket that mounts to the A/C outer engine compartment box. I converted from non A/C to A/C and I'm just not sure what this bracket that came attached to the outside box is used for, and what needs to attach to it. Any pics or pointers would be of great help. From what I remember the A/C box is from a 79 or so, but not absolutely sure on that, as I am a few years older now since I bought it .

The hole on the left side is for the accumulator bracket and the hole on the right side is for a clamp to hold one of the evaporator lines.

Thanks RJ80 that helps a lot. I'm not sure were the clamp and bracket got to, or if I even ever had them, guess I need to hunt through some more boxes. Perhaps I can find a photo somewhere to help me locate those parts.

Purchase the 79 assembly instruction manual (AIM); it shows the factory set up for the AC and will identify your part. The diagrams will also be helpful installing the system on your car.

Thanks Mike, but I don't own a 79 I have a 77. I'm doing an A/C conversion using a 79 box and don't think in this case for this one small bracket I can justify buying it. .Good advice though for anybody that owns a 79 as I have the 74,75 and 77 AIM's myself and they are invaluable to me, as I used the 74 and 75 for the big block and convertible conversion parts of my build.

Mike your post got me thinking and I remembered I had the 53 -82 parts and illustration manual both paper back and CD which is an excellent reference material as well. Low and behold there is a great illustration showing the two brackets that were used on the 78 -82, so thanks for jarring my diminishing memory and putting me back on track
