I finally got around to installing my BOSS 338 18"x8" wheels on my vette the other weekend. I know the backspacing was going to be different. The factory 15's were 4"BS and the BOSS is 4.5"BS with a +2mm offset.
So besides lower the vette I am trying to figure out what size wheel spacer I need for the front and the rear to make the wheels look right in the tire wells.
I figured I would start with 1/4" in the front and 3/8" or 1/2" in the rear but I am not sure. So I thought I would throw it out on the forum to see what everyone thinks.
I need input on size of spacer and where to get good quality ones?
any suggestions on who I can get some wheel spacers from?
I bought two pair of nice 1/4" billet wheel spacers from an eBay store named "sscramblin". He offers 3/8" spacers too, but I wasn't sure about having enough threads on stock sized studs.
Search eBay Motors for "Corvette billet wheel spacers" for his current auctions.
