Strange Ipad App

Has anyone used an ipad app called "Corvette Birthday Calculator"? I downloaded it today and typed in the last 5 digits of my VIN. It listed a build date of March 21, 1969. Here is what has me perplexed, it displayed several pictures of my car! Not just a 69, but my actual car. Surely more than one car was built per day. I also typed in the vin of Fletcher's (my son) 72 and the first pic that popped up was of his engine bay. And it was his engine.
Am I wrong or is this strange to you as well?

Just tried it an not even close. The build date is about right but it shows a purple camback car. Mine when new was a war bonnet yellow LT1

I get random pictures of Corvettes. If you recalculate the same VIN, you'll get a picture of an entirely different car.

Random pics

I saw the random pics but I am serious when I say that the first pics that came up of my 69 were my car. And the first pic of the 72 was a picture of the engine bay of my son's car down to the purple color of the front fenders. just spooky to me lol

Was it ever listed for sale on eBay or somewhere else online? The owner of the c3 registry will add photos and info found on-line.

That's what I believe as well is that the pics are from ebay. I just find it odd that the first pics I see fro either car are of cars I own.

Alright, I think I have figured it out. If the VIN was listed somewhere on the net, then the inventor of the app used only that car in the pictures. For my car, the last 5 digits are 19543 and every picture that comes up on the app for that vin is of my car. For the 72, the last 5 are 02488 and every picture that comes up are of the 72 I purchased for my son.
