Default 1976 headlight adjusting

need help !!!!!!!
is there any way to adjust the flip headlights on a 76 from the (back end, or hinged side, on side closest to the hood) now they are to low and when they go up they rub a little

You need to loosen the bushings on each side where they are bolted to the light assembly frame. The holes in the frame are larger than the bolt diameter, allowing some adjustment. There are 3 bolts each. It's very tight in there. Loosen them just enough to nudge the lights to the desired position, level etc... then tighten the bolts.

This might help you understand whats holding the whole thing on. The 3 screws GD70 is talking about are number 3 in the picture. Those will move the door up/down and back/forward


If you loosen the stops (#4 in this picture) you can center the door in the opening. Be carful that you don't damage the paint on the side of the door or opening when you adjust. Put blue painters tape all around the opening to prevent that.
