69 windshield replacement help

69 windshield replacement help
I need to get my 69 corvette's windshield replaced and was wondering if I could just bring it to a glass shop and have them do it. I am not worried about originality or date stamps. Could most glass places get that windshield? or do I need to order it from somewhere like Ecklers or something? Also, should i bring it to somewhere that specifically deals with corvettes, or will most any glass places know what goes into replacing a vette windshield?

Hi n,
A possible problem with 'most' glass shops is they won't take the time to pre-fit the new glass first to see how far it needs to be spaced from the windshield frame so the ss trim will fit.
This is why there are many treads on this forum about gaps between the glass and ss trim.

Call auto city glass. Here is there website. The do a great job and pricing is very fair. Delivery is quick too. Their windshield fit perfect
