Hi all i own a 2007 bought new with blacked our rims and the A&A system, and i have most C6 driver waive at me. This weekend we started driving my wife's 1981 C3 just out of the body shop black GM paint code of my car. Well let me tell you i feel like a low life NO c6 or c5 waive back at me I really think it's sad, also driving this car made me realise i am a Corvette guy, this 30 years old corvette is a real dinosaur but man i am loving it, it's a corvette!!! I taught we were all Corvette guys i guess i was mistaken. I live in Alberta Canada i am sure other parts of North America are different, but for now SHAME ON YOU C6 driver in Alberta.
P.S. i also posted this on the C6 section
Not all c5 and c6 guys are stuck up.I have had my share of them guys not waiving ,even not acknowlege you,but there are some that are alright, had a c5 wanting to cruise with me when he seen me and my car.I have also had other c5 and c6 guys waive too,so dont be down on all of them.I felt like you too but changed over time
If they are truly Corvette people and have owned older Corvettes they usually wave , its the newbies that don't wave. Maybe they don't know what older Corvettes look like ?
I have never had a c3 owner wave back to me when I drive my c6 z06. I love all vettes. Getting a C3 this week in addition to my c6 (I honestly think the c3 is the best looking vette)

HyperX - are you having the C3 delivered or buying local?

There's a lot of truth to what Roger says.
Funny thing, this complaint is nothing new. I had a friend years ago, who had a 61, when the 63's came out. 10 years later, he was still complaining about how the owners of new 63's were stuck up, and never waved to solid axle owners.
I think a Corvette person waves reguardless of what generation Corvette they drive. It's the person who buys the car because he/she thinks it elevates their status in life that doesn't wave. He/She is too busy trying to gather attention from anyone that sees them behind the wheel. Ego fulfillment I guess.

Yes Yes Yes,i believe this is true with alot of them.a status symbol ,not truly a corvette person

And the opposite was true... when I got my first Corvette (a '65) back in 1977, there were T shirts for sale that said, "Real Corvettes have trunks!" and "Yeah, they made Corvettes after '67, but who cares?"
Every single generation of Corvette has had (and has) the snots. Get used to it.
(now if we could just outlaw these continuous "I didn't get waved to today" threads... )
I wave to owners that are twice my age. Feels weird, but if HD riders can have a wave, why not us vette owners?
Speaking of vette owners, a nice guy in a C5 let me pull out in front of him while leaving a gas station adjacent to the Syracuse mall, which is a really busy intersection. Strange thing was, I was in my truck - coincidence? He knew..
if they owned a C3 or C2 in the past , then they know what the wave is...other wise its just another high-end lease or statis symbol to them & they don't have a clue about car-guys or the wave
don't sweat it , probably like this in every major city (my 80 has been my year round DD, for the last 5 years, here in Toronto, Canada)
