got mine today!

heres a pix, know i cant post a thread like this without one. after 2 years of searching, lookin, and tapping frames heres my 73 mismatch engine big block.
impressive rust free birdcage & w/s frame, nothing but minor surface rust on the frame. the PO was wonderful, allowing me to run the car on ramps, disassemble anything i wanted. he really made this a good experience.
dont believe he owned any tools, car was serviced and repaired by a vette shop in his area. no signs of bubba.
short list of things to fix after a 4+hr drive home
wow this thing hot, need that heater bypass/shutoff
headlight/vacuum issues
interior is rough, looks good from outside but every panel is loose
pulls right a bit
one front caliper weeping no drips, but damp
longer term issues
ac removed
rear wheels lean in at the top a bit, guessin the rear spring is tired.
gonna go over her better as time goes on and try to contribute here w plenty of pix when i fix anything
gotta thank everyone here -
off to order my manuals
Nice looking car!
This sounds like the outcome when a buyer does his homework, throughly checks out the car, and doesn't make a quick decision.
WELL DONE!
GOOD LUCK!

Alan

The rear wheels leaning in at the top probably just means the camber needs adjusted. Check it out when you get your manuals. They should lean in just a bit but if it's that noticeable it's probably too much.
