Default 1971 ZR2 & LS6 Engine codes

Does anyone know what the machined stamp pad codes are for 1971 LS6 & ZR2?
Would the ZR2 be the same as the LS6? I know that the ZR2 was an LS6 with other options.
Also what would the casting numbers be for the block and the intake?
Thanks.

Engine codes:

'71 LS6 MT: CPW
'71 LS6 AT: CPX

'71 ZR2: - I"m not sure, but think it may have had the same suffix as the LS6 manual (since it the standard LS6 already required HD parts).

Warren? Anybody?

The block was a 512 just like the other BBCs. The intake was 3967474 or 3963569.

I also agree with 66L36Coupe on his listed codes, which are for a Corvette.
Tho since the '71 Chevelle also was available with an LS6 (albeit lower compression for 1971 LS6 motors) the codes for the Chevelle 454 LS6 were:

CPP (stick car)
CPR (T400 car)

pm sent as well.

They would be the same for LS-6 and ZR-2.

3963512 for the block, 3963569 for the intake.

Just out of curiosity, why do you ask?

I found someone selling an original (according to him) big block 69 automatic and he told me that the vette has a nom and that the current motor is from a ZR2.
So it seems that the motor if it's a true 71 vette LS6 although still rare (188 made if I'm correct) there's no way to tell if it really was a ZR2 motor.
Assuming the vette is clean and mechanically sound, what do you C3 knowledge veterans feel this vette might be worth with this LS6 in it if it's a real vette motor?
Thanks alot for the info.

The stamp pad will say if it came from an LS6 car or not. Pretty valuable to the owner of that car if it's still around.

If it's just a collection of parts pretending to be an LS6, then not so much.

65 Drivr,

Give me a call, should you buy this car. I would be interested in any and all original 1971 LS6 Corvette engine pieces. There are several unique mechanical items that make up a 1971 LS6 engine. All would need to be present in order to verify whether the engine assembly you have in this '69 Corvette could be the genuine article. My phone number is (530) 265-5204. Call anytime.
