Default #4 Body Mount Nut

Almost got the body ready to lift off yesterday and ran into the ONE bolt that is holding me up The left caged nut on the #4 body bolt is rusted to the bolt and rounded off the cage. Anybody know what size the square nut is? I'm guessing at about 1".

AND, when I replace the cage can I just use pop rivets to fasten it or does the underneath mount need to come off to properly set the rivets?

Thanks.

PS, I'm in the market for a body lift sling if anyone has one....

cut the head off, and continue with your lift,
your not gonna reuse a rusted bolt anyway.

It is much easier to access and remove stuck bolt,
after the frame seperation.

Cut it with a Dremel cutting wheel. Much smaller and more control. Make criss-cross cuts across the bolt head, then cut each section away. It may take a couple cutting wheel disks to do the job.

Been there...
So far as riveting the new cage in place, I think you'll need to remove the plate from the underside to access the heads, going from memory. I had to replace the lower pieces anyway. A pop rivet may hold the cage in place but I'm not so sure it will keep the nut from spinning in the future. I used the solid rivets as the factory did. They're a pain to peen over if you have a coupe, impossible to see. A Convertible may be easier?

another alternate bubba fix. after cutting head off from the bottom.
Slice the cage around the nut from the top inside the car, or drill out 1 rivet.
difficult but do-able, slice the cage retainer, peel back the retainer.
liftout old cut-off nut and bolt. drop a new nut into place, bend back the retainer..
it will hold for a new body mount bolt,
besides how many times would you need to remove that nut. in the future?

Use a cut-off wheel or a dremel, to avoid cutting up more work.
