Default registration sticker

not corvette related but i thought this would be the best place to ask. i bought a new gmc terrain and my new registration sticker did not stick to the window so well. so i was wondering when it totally falls off or gets close. what can i put it back on with that wont be a pain to get off later. i really dont want to use scotch tape it looks so bad. is there any glue that would hold up???

Maybe use something like this to completely cover and encapsulate the sticker

your best bet. anything else might be "iffy" as far as getting a clean removal in the future.

I have used clear packaging tape in the past with no problem. This is common when windshields get replaced. Most shops can salvage the stickers. If they come off clean they never stick back on. However if they get messed up the DMV can replace it.

You don't want to glue or tape it if it doesn't look original just to save you the trouble of being stopped and really checked out for fake registration. If you take it in, the DMV should issue you a new one for a minimal fee, like $5. Make sure the windshield is really clean before you try to install one.

Most states officially don't allow you to remove it and replace it even for a replaced windshield. they want to replace it entirely with a new one. If it is partially loose and you don't want to take the time to get a new one just use some tape but make it look as clean as possible. Cops look at these all day long and one that has been glued or altered in any way stick out like a sore thumb to them, even while driving.
