Just my opinion. When you sell it, the buyer will look at the odometer, not the title. It will just look like you put more miles on it than you did.

My 2c... you've gotten a clear title and as long as the VIN is correct I would leave well enough alone. Why invite more error for such a minor discrepency?

Call the DMV and ask whether the discrepancy could hurt you in the long run. Better safe than sorry.

Why won't you explain why ,this could help with advice ?

In general I would say leave it alone but if someone in the future comes up with proof the mileage is not correct, this could result in a permanent tag put on the car as " WARNING ODOMETER DISCREPANCY".
That warning would be very difficult to fix if not impossible.

it was simply that i did not remember the actual mileage when i was at the tag office and guessed. i did not want to come back at a later date with the exact number. when i got the new title the mileage was off farther than i expected. in PA the odometer mileage is exempt.

i have a color zerox copy of the PO's title. i can show where the issue originated.

I just got mine from the state of Oklahoma, the 1981 car has 60K on in, however when Oklahoma DPS sent it back to me the mileage says "EXEMPT"

I have yet called to find out why, it was signed over from a guy in Kansas and that title had 53k on it 9 years ago when he bought it.

As long as your odometer reads higher than what the title says when you next sell it, who cares?
