I bought a beat-up PU truck years ago that had a .22 shell/bullet in place of the fuse. That fits bubba's personality, I think. I've seen several .22 shells (w/o the bullet) used as fuses over the years. Never seen the tin foil trick, though.

Looks like looking at the fuse box clips for each fuse that the whole box has seen some serious moisture with that much rust on it or is that what happens when sitting under a shed awning outside in Florida with the windows and top down for years? Lots of corrosion on the clips. Besides, it looks like the fuse in there is intact so why do it to begin with?
