Do you know which way the actuator tube is pointing? Should point towards the outside of the car.

Is the support in good shape? They break rather easily when tapped.

The support seems to be fine. Is there much of a difference between a 69 support and an 80's one? Not sure which I actually have...

Either year will work. 75 and later supports used in 68-74 cars will need 1/2" spacers under the front mounting legs.
