Get the special tool or make one by bending a screwdriver. Once you get it lined up, you just tap it in with a hammer. Five minute job once you figure out how to do it.
If you mean the S shaped spring for the door hinge, then you dont have to take the door off to replace.
It makes it easier to have the special tool to do this job, which is really a bent screwdriver ( I bought one for $2 and bent it ) to do the job. I looked at the other side to see how it would fit, and then patiently worked on the spring so it would position into place.
One thing I did was place a small mirror at the bottom of the door opening looking up at the bottom of the hinge. That allowed me to see how much distance I needed to move the spring to let it drop into place.
