Traffic Camera

I only know what they sent my friend who ran a red light. It caught her car in two sequential moments, one behind the stop-line and one after she passed it, both showing the stoplight shining red. Since it was triggered by the sensors in the road, I guess they could argue that was sufficient probable cause (they don't take a picture if you don't run the red light).
As for it being evidence from a photograph rather than a literal eye-witness, that's where a lawyer would give a better answer, but I gather there's all sorts of other crimes where photographic or video footage is admitted as evidence even when an eyewitness is absent.
All I know is I make sure to stop at the stoplight around the corner from my house where the red-light camera is installed, as I'm not confident I'd be able to beat the rap if the pictures show me running the red light (not that I run red lights to begin with...).
Then I went to Florida to see the last space shuttle launch. It was raining really hard and I found myself on a toll road and I went through five or six toll gates that said E-Pass because in the rain and darkness I thought it said EZ-Pass. I guess I can't go back there either.
Seems I just don't respect other places' laws.
The germans will get you. If they can track it thru the rental company they will. I've heard they can cross reference passport photos too.
Florida might get you.
It might take months though.

My plate is "BLU DVL 1". The funny thing is, the picture doesnt even look like a Florida plate, and its obviously a 2005 or newer (Id say its a 2008 or newer), and I have specialized Florida plates on my 2002.

When you least expect it, years from now, when you have forgotten alllllllllll about it, in the middle of the night, while you're sleeping peacefully, all snug and secure............BAM!!!! There goes the front door, kicked in by a hobnailed jackboot!! And you are dragged off in chains, while a pasty-skinned man with a scar on his cheek whispers in your ear........"Ve haf vays of making you talk............"
Whew!! Man, sorry about that, sometimes my imagination gets a little carried away, ya know what I mean? Anyway, they're gonna getcha, dude, they're gonna getcha............

You did!Funny joke though!
FWIW - from experience, Cameras are mostly triggered by speed. If you slow down while going over the embedded trigger points, you won't trigger the camera. The trick is finding the trigger points embedded in the roadway. Also, some here in NJ are programmed not to flash - which is pretty sneaky.
Departments assign officers to review the photos and determine if there is a violation and then process the ticket. You don't need probable cause as there's no expectation of privacy on public roads or in the license plate #.
For dangerous intersections they probably make sense - but for others they're just revenue generators.

. I NYC, this same person had about 150 bucks in parking tickets and was never tracked down. I wouldn't be too worried about FL.
