Need help with tires

I have 1977 and would like to know what is the best tire size to put on it. I would like to go a little larger in the back but that is not a must. I would also like to run BF Goodrich or Goodyear but am open to any help. Any help would be appreciated.

Personally I like the fit and looks of a 245 60/15 tire. Some perfer the 255 but can have front fender clearance issues.

There are lots of options. I did a lot of research with other owners. I finally decided on Michlin Pilot "run flats". They are much quieter than Goodyear tires. The tread is a bit narrower.

That is what I have on the front with 255 on the rear. I'm having a problem finding them.
