Default Fuse box help!

Hello guys,

Im new to this forum but i have a 76 corvette and am having some electrical problems.

The switch near the pedals by my right foot (the rear defrost) all of a sudden stopped working. i tracked the wiring through and tested for continuity and its seems to be alright. but currently it is hooked up to the male terminal on the Accy. Fuse block. I tested that and i am only getting 4 Volts out of it. none of the fuses are blown.

Is there any reason i am only getting 4 volts!? is the block out of whack? how can i fix this?

Thanks in advance!

you may have a corroded fuse holder, check the acc. fuse clips and replace the fuse,
if not most likely you probable have a bad connection inside the fuse block, lots are corroded.
I would suggest seperate and inspect the fuse box.
the box is 1/2 outside the firewall, and 1/2 inside the car,
undo the big nut on the outside to seperate,
and learn how to stand on your head inside the car !

i went to pull out that fuse and one of the clips practically came with it. hopefully thats the problem... i would really rather not have to pull it apart haha
