Default Power window question

Does anybody know how to "tighten up windows I have a 79 and the windows wiggle back and forth... so far forward that it can touch the molding I know they have those little black padded things in there but I don't think buying new ones is going to completley fix the problem. I also noticed today rolling up the window that it actually goes up past the door frame like almost pops it'self out. Are there any articles that anybody can point me towards to fixing these things?

hopefully you have already... but if not, take off the door panel... In there you will see the window assembly, there will be many different bolts that are used for adjustment, some on top of the door frame, some in the middle... Make sure all of these are aligned and tightened.

The rollers that fit into the slide to guide the window up and down are worn out. You will have to remove the window to replace these. If it is a little more than you want to tackle go to a glass shop that has been in business a long time that knows about C 3 Corvettes and they can do the job for you.

The assembly instruction manual (AIM) has the best directions for door glass adjustment.
