Default Pulling the wool! (rant)

I didn't realize there was a problem with strange criminals stealing the rugs off the seat backs of the 79-82 cars!

I just went to peel one off a 1982 seat, and it was held on with a liberal application of an adhesive that could only have come from the labs of Dr. Evil. It's kinda like a "synthetic snot" only stronger. And even carb cleaner doesn't cut it well.

But just to make sure the flocking carpets would stay there... they stapled the perimeter too!!

Clams-

Original glue and the same stuff used on the sill plate carpets on the 84-87 cars... A real beast and yes... they even put staples in the 84-87 sill plate carpets on the edge.

That stuff will hurt your hands getting it off!

Yes! It seems the only way to get it off is to "roll" it. (sigh)

Flat razor scraper works pretty good too.. It rolls it up as you pull. Good luck buddy..

I think the only thing I've found this sticky is the old windshield tape. That stuff hurts when you pull it off your fingers after an install.
