Default Help to identify a part I need.

I am trying to look for the outer wiper style "molding" that wipes the rain off of the windows on the driver side door. I would like to replace the inner and outer on bother doors but really need the outer part that connects to the chrome molding ... It sounds confusing I don't reallyknow what the parts called so if you have questions let me know!

Hi d03,
There are 2 parts.
The stainless steel part is called the 'reveal molding'. They are not being reproduced so you'll need to find a 're-conditioned' piece.
The 'outer seals' are available and have prongs that snap into holes in the reveal moldings.
Regards,
Alan

The part your looking for is the outer wipe. It would help to know what year you have, as 68 wipes are completely different from 69 ups.

68's are 2 piece, with a separate rubber seal and a felt wipe. The 69 up ones have the felt as part of the outer rubber seal. The 69 and later wipes also have a chrome bead that is part of the wipe. The 68's do not have this chrome bead.

68-82 doors also have a stainless trim piece on them, in addition to having the wipes.

If you a 68, you need to order both the outer wipe and the outer seal.

69-75 convertible wipes are a different length than the 69-82 coupe ones.
