Default C3 Restoration

I was wondering if some of the guys could offer some advise on a C3 i am busy trying to put back to some of its former glory.
I have rebuilt the suspension both front and rear , gearbox , diff , trailing arms ,engine, as well as the dash and interior .
During the frame on rebuild ( i wanted to take the body off , but didn't have space ) i replaced the main wiring harness as well as the interior harness . I have one wire , a green which is situated on the drivers side of the transmission tunnel , it is a male connector and has no where to go , it is not from the cigar lighter or the selector light , i looked at the old harness and the same green connector has no scratch marks on the brass lug , so i have no idea where this wire goes and the wiring diagram does not show anything obvious .
Have any of the corvette boffins replaced the harness on an 80 vette and can recall this wire and its placement , its too short to go much further than the cigarette lighter area . Is this in the harness for other models with extra accessories.
Would really appreciate any help on this one , i don't want to close up the panel and have to strip again , i am learning on this icon. All help greatly appreciated.

Regards,
John

Hi Parkerracing,

You and all the other guys on this forum are fantastic , i am amazed people can stop what they are doing and provide input immediately when a guy puts his hands up for advice on fixing his vette .
I would love to post some pics of work carried out so far , but i have to get this car finished and rolling the South African freeways , after that its onto a big block 73 454 i ordered from over there last year (pics will be posted though soon !!!)

Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM). AIM will show your green wire. Do you have the option rear window defrost?
