Might be informational.

Weighed my 82. It has c5 thin spokes, ls1 4l60e.
Only 3000lbs. I'm impressed as it had an almost full tank of gas. I knew it would be light but I would have guessed a 150lbs higher.
Thinking now about all the extra stuff I can rip out of it to drop some more weight.
Anyway thought this might be informational for other people doing the swap and wondering.

Yeah, the 82 was definitely the lightest of all C3's.

They used fiberglass for bumper supports and aluminum for the differential support. The seats, door panels, and dash weigh half as much as the 72 pieces.

Yup, LS motors are quite an achievment, and while maybe not quite 150 lbs, pretty close. I'm sold. Gotta question that 3000 lbs scale for a C3 though, as most of the later ones were rated about 3400 in stock form. My current Vette's a C6 ZO6 LS motor with aluminum frame, and is rated at 3130.
