On points ign I guess you could run a wire from the points to the lighter and ground the points out when the lighter is pushed in.
On HEI you don't want to ground anything,guess you could run the pink power lead through the lighter-push the lighter in so the engine will run-pull the lighter out so engine won't run. You would have to isolate the lighter from ground.
I've seen switches under the ash tray before that work.
When my car was a DD I worried about it getting stolen also. I installed one kill switch that breaks the neutral starter switch, purple wire under console, and one that kills the power to the HEI dist.
