Default What does this number mean???

Trying to decipher what the # 332 means on my '68. It is located on the passenger side firewall while looking into the engine compartment. White lettering. It is also located on the rear right behind the gas tank. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks BK3

That's the job number assigned to your particular car as it goes through the assembly plant at St. Louis. If your lucky enough to find your Corvette Order Copy sheet, this same number is usually penciled onto this sheet telling the assembly workers what options the car was to be built with. These job numbers go from 1 to 500 and then start over again.

Take good pictures of both before they fade away (or get removed).

You might also find it shortened to 32. Look on the toe kick. This one is 29.

Might also be inside.

Try this: subtract 500 from the last three digits of your VIN. Do you get 332?

Hi,
This is what the job number looked like on the tank sheet. #186 on my 71 coupe.
Finding both the sheet, and the number written on the undebody, is pretty nice.
Regards,
Alan
