I noticed that my drivers side door does not close well, you have to slam it about 3 times to make it close all the way. I also found that if you lift up on the door it will move up about 3/8 of an inch. Is it a big deal to remove door? This is on my 81, TIA
When I say "lift up" I am talking about grabbing the door out by the door handle and lifting from the bottom of door. It seems like play in the bottom hinge.
Hi Richard,
Since the hinge pins may be worn as Mike says, the sagging door might be hitting the striker on the door jamb low, making it difficult to close.
So I'll bet the 2 things are connected.

Alan
Mike & Alan,
Is it a big deal to change the hinge pins and bushings? I think you are correct the door is hitting the striker. Thanks guys. Enjoy your long weekend.
