You don't "THINK" it will work ? Sure it will.

The old type clocks wind every couple minutes and then run off a spring,a properly operating clock will wind through the bulb with no problem.
Not sure what your referring to about the courtesy lights.

One added bonus is every time you turn the **** and disconnect the battery,the small bulb monitors battery drain,if your car has battery drain problems the bulb will light up,otherwise the bulb will be out.
