different clock question

I think the clock (plus the before mentioned courtesy lamps) uses quite a bit of current, so with maybe 0.5 amps running through the bulb that will lower the voltage to the clock quite bit (because of the voltage drop over the inline bulb), which may or may not in turn cause a higher current draw.

The old type clocks wind every couple minutes and then run off a spring,a properly operating clock will wind through the bulb with no problem.
Not sure what your referring to about the courtesy lights.
One added bonus is every time you turn the **** and disconnect the battery,the small bulb monitors battery drain,if your car has battery drain problems the bulb will light up,otherwise the bulb will be out.
