Beautiful 68! what is the story behind it? Is it an original sidepipe car, where did you find it? Very nice, good luck!
It was originally a tri-power car and I am still trying to figure out all the history. The block is not original but it is a rebuilt 427 by a man that builds race engines and races in the local area. I have not met him but it appears he is pretty well respected for his work. The engine is very smooth. The story is that I am about the 4th owner and the second owner spent a good amount of money going through the car. I have a list of about 15 items that need to be done, not counting the wheel/tire situation. They are as small as installing a battery cutoff, airfilter, owners manual, etc, and as big as spare tire and tub. Some of the items are just labor on my part and some are a few bucks. The interior is stock except for the radio which is an original look-alike with a disc changer in the back. It is in very good shape. The paint has a couple of blemishes but is miles ahead of any other one I have looked at except just a few that I can not afford. The car will be driven for our local club shows and the ocassional cruise-in. Maybe just a ride around town with my wife on nice days. I will also use it to wake up the neighbors on Saturday mornings. I feel very fortunate to have found this one.
Congrats. Looks good!
The back can easily be lowered, note the 2 bolts on spring ends. What's tire size?
I will look into this. the rear tires are 245/50 ZR 15.
It seems that the left side sits a little lower in the back. Can this be adjusted there also? I will have to move it from the spot it is sitting now and measure.
Very nice looking ride! I'm sure you will get plenty of looks with that car!

You can adjust the sides independently with the rear bolts. You may be limited with the stock bolts as to how far you can drop it (longer bolts are available) and also with 15" wheels as you have to watch that the spring does not hit the wheel.
I cut 1 coil off my 550lb springs to lower the front. I have new 460lb springs that I want to try, to soften the ride slightly.
