ok here is another question a newbie vette owner has to ask again........do I really need my ERG valve or can I remove it...... any problems that might happen if i remove it?/
A properly operating EGR valve allows you to run the timing further advanced without pinging. Advanced timing provides better performance and fuel economy. GM vehicles didn't react as badly as some Ford models to inoperative EGR's. Some of the Fords of the mid to late 70's rattled so bad with a plugged EGR they were scary to hear.
Hmm cleaner engine bay, cleaner air we breath? Tough choice.

yeah but most guys on this forums switch to true duals and get rid of their catalytic converters too, and with the mileage you get out of these guys; clean air is what most don't care about.

if you have the opening in the intake then keep the EGR its a good thing. no reason to take it out. it doesnt hurt any performance as long as its working.
