The first 5 is an alpha S.
1 Chevrolet
Z Corvette
37 coupe
T optional L-82
4 model year (74) Don't know why I thought you had a '78.
S St. Louis
405564 consecutive unit number. 5564th off the line.
Book might be wrong. #5564 passed the station on the line where the trim tag was attached on October 12th. The car could have been finished that day (it would have depended on the time of day the tag was attached), but likely needed another day, possibly a day and half to be completed.
Saturday, October 14th is a possibility. Monday, the 16th is also a candidate.
JBaron: go here and see if you can get original dealer info for your 73.
